8/22/2006 Rabbit TroublesOk, so I think I've got that pesky rabbit figured out. He likes to come into my yard around noon. Usually, my human wakes up around 11:00 a.m. on his days off. I really don't know how he manages to sleep so late, but that's another entery. Anyway, I've figured out that if I lick his face in the mornings and act like I want to play, he will let us dogs out. I know we are getting ready to go out, because he says "outside" and then goes to get our collars. Sometimes he takes too long, and I have to get them for him.
Once we get outside, I know exactly where to go. I run straight for the back fence. That's where that rabbit will be. Usually, the rabbit can see us, or hear us coming and squeezes through the chain fence. Not today! Today I caught up to him before he had a chance to squeez through the fence! I got a bite out of his furry tail, but he still got away. I ended up going head first into the fence. Wow, that smart. I feel like Wyle E. Coyote chasing the Road Runner!
Tomorrow I will rally the troops. We will catch that peskey rabbit someday! 7/23/2006 The RabbitThere is a rabbit that roams my back yard with out permission. THIS RABBIT MUST BE TAUGHT A LESSON! I have barked at and chased this rabbit several times. He simply won't leave my back yard alone. I don't know what to do. The other day, I even jumped the fence to chase him away. He seems to have built a burrow somewhere in my back yard. I haven't found it yet, but I am still sniffing for it. If only I can get my human to give us more time outside. This morning, I sniffed around for the burrow and made it look like I was looking for a place to poop. That bought me another five miniutes.
This rabbits name.. I don't know. Frankly, I don't care. He is not allowed on my territory with out permission, period. This rabbit used to live in a home with some humans. I think he got away and is now ferral. You can tell he was a pet because he's white with black spots. This rabbit has begun breeding with the wild rabbits in the neighborhood and bringing them into my yard as well. AGHHH! MORE RABBITS! Well, I can't really complain too much I guess, I do enjoy the chase. However, I get frustrated because I can not catch him. He always laughs at me and says, "Fast as fast can be, you'll never catch me!" Wanna bet!! Someday, I'll catch him, and he'll be sorry.
I have devised a sinister plot. Next time my human lets us out to potty, I'll send Mitsy and Chance to guard the flanks, then I'll ambush him from behind. He he he.. this rabbit doesn't stand a chance. With Chance's speed, Mitsy's grip, and my brains, we'll finally defeat this rabbit and teach him a fowl lesson... he he he. |
